ESO PvP Addons Guide Elsweyr
These are the top PvP addons we can recommend to you as of the Elsweyr patch to better your experience in battle.
You can see a quick video on the functionality of these addons below.
#1 Bandit's UI
The first addon we're going to be looking at is Bandits UI. There's other UI
Addons out there but there's certain things in this addon that you can use in pvp,
You can change just about every aspect of your UI with this addon.
We'll go through the important options below.
General Settings Set up :
Hit esc and open the Settings drop down menu. You'll see Bandits UI
displayed seperately right below the Addons button. Unlike other addons, it has it's own
settings option in the drop down menu.
Misc Options -
Open "Misc Options" and turn on Player Info to see penetration stats and percentages on all stats, then turn on PvP mode and Quick Slots. We're going to need both of these on unless you use another quick slot addon. You can play with your theme here but I've left mine Standard Smooth. If you click on "Move Frames" you can adjust where every aspect of your UI is located, which I strongly suggest playing with to your liking once you've configured how you want them to look (below).
Player Frames -
Open up "Player Frames" on the addon menu and turn on "Show Maximum Health" and "Show Percents" the rest is up to you to play with. I suggest using the MMORPG Player theme or Bandits Pyramid theme.
Target Frames -
Open up "Target Frames" on the addon menu and turn off "Default Target Frame" unless you like the default one. If you want to use the bandit target frame, turn on "additional target frame" and adjust width / height and execution threshold to your liking. Afterwards, you'll probably want to move the target frame under Misc Options > Move Frames
PvP Settings :
Ability Timers -
This is an alternative to Action Duration Reminders. It seems to be both designed better
and more accurate than ADR. It taking up less room on your UI is optimal. Turn on Precise Mode.
You can edit a lot underneath this tab, including adding a custom buffs panel.
A lot of this is user choice, so I suggest taking your time with this part of the addon.
The widgets utility under buffs is a really useful tool to add the best tracking to important things to your class in PVP.
This is how you can track your dodge fatigue, immobilization immunity and important procs.
You can add any buff to widgets, including DoTs, just my middle clicking on the buff in cursor mode when you see it.
Once you've added it to your widgets go to Buffs > Widgets > Manage Widgets to adjust the settings of them.
Click the three little gears icon on the widget you added to adjust the progress bar, etc.
Quick Slots -
First, make sure Quick Slots is checked "on" under "Misc Options" and adjust how many consumables you want slotted to your quick slot bar. Next, go to Controls > Addon Keybinds and scroll down until you see "Bandits UI Quick Slots." You can keybind anything here!
#2 Miat's CC Tracker
Miat's CC tracker is a very quick and easy addon to set up. It's going to track the CC hitting you live in PvP and tell you how it's disabling you.
Get to the addon settings under settings > addons > Miat's CC tracker. Make sure the addon is "Enabled" and turn on position lock/unlock. Move the addon around in cursor mode (.) until it's comfortably placed and turn postion lock/unlock off.
Turn OFF use ability name as crowd control text. At the bottom of the addon you can edit all the colors for the different CC's hitting you, but I've left it default.
#3 Miat's Tick Tracker
Miat's tick tracker has set up much like the CC tracker. It's going to track all incoming resources (magicka, stamina, health) per second and relay it back to you. It is useful because it tell you your recovery live and includes outer sources of recovery.
Get to the addon settings under settings > addons > Miat's tick tracker. Make sure the addon is "Enabled" and turn on position lock/unlock. Move the addon around in cursor mode (.) until it's comfortably placed and turn postion lock/unlock off.
Turn OFF "apply the tracker to default bars", as we use Bandit's UI. If you use the default UI, keep this on.
Turn ON "show tick amount above bar" to display the number above the separate tick tracker bar.
Turn OFF "show the tracker at all times" so you don't see the bar constantly going 0-100% in the background when you are full on resources.
#4 Piece of Candy
Piece of Candy is an ultimate tracking and sharing device for your whole PvP raid to have. In order for you to really find usefulness out of this addon, you need your teammates to run it. You can access these settings through the addon menu.
Turn OFF "choose main ultimate automatically" and choose the ultimate you want to share with your group.
Turn ON "show login names in swimlane " unless you prefer character names.
Turn OFF "show ultimate alerts" to avoid annoying text going off on every ultimate.
Turn OFF "show your ultimate number"
Turn OFF "play a sound when you hit #1"
Turn OFF "show MIA swimlane" UNLESS you are a Raid Leader enforcing Piece of Candy usage.
Turn OFF "show unused swimlanes"
Turn OFF "warn when conflicting add-ons are detected"
Bufftimers is an addon you can use to keep track of your pets and other buffs on a seperate bar with color coordination and a big timer in the middle. It's useful as an extra tool with BUI Widgets tracking. You can access these settings through the addon menu.
To add a buff or several buffs begin with selecting the number of buff bars you will need under Bufftimers > Configuration > Number of Bars. Just slide the tick to the number of bars you need.
Bar Settings -
Under "Buff name" type in the EXACT buff name and it will be detected
Turn OFF "always show" so the bar goes away when you don't need it.
Turn ON "Lock" once you've fully configured your buff bar.
Turn ON/OFF "show text notification" depending on whether or not you want to see text reminding you when your buff is dropping.
Adjust "bar color left" and "bar color right" to color coordinate different buff bars.
